The TMB-500EX is a flagship-grade vibration control platform with a six-layer hybrid structure, crafted from high-quality birch wood planks used in the manufacturer’s flagship GMR series audio racks. Building upon the structure of the previous TMB-300, it further incorporates a new “Magnetic ZERO Process” technology, featuring an additional pure copper shielding layer on the magnesium alloy plate in the middle layer, significantly enhancing vibration absorption and electromagnetic wave shielding effects. Another innovative design of the 500EX is the placement of special duct devices called “Phantom Earth Ducts” at the four corners. These devices effectively release internal pressure variations caused by temperature differentials, allowing the 500EX to operate in a stable state, delivering unprecedented depth of soundstage, pitch-black backgrounds, and lifelike musical realism.
The 500EX also comes with the newly developed D-REN EX damping pads. These pads, developed from the previous generation D-REN Pro model, enhance internal structural strength, providing effective support and vibration absorption capabilities. When used together with the 500EX, they maximize its performance to the utmost level.
The plate is composed of six layers of carefully selected materials:
Top layer: Premium birch wood planks from Russia, renowned for their superior acoustic properties.
First middle layer: Copper shielding layer that effectively blocks electromagnetic noise.
Second middle layer: Pure magnesium plate offering excellent vibration absorption capabilities.
Third middle layer: Old-style solid mahogany, chosen for being one of the world’s top three premium hardwoods, selected for its exceptional sound characteristics.
Bottom layer: Carefully selected high-density medium fiberboard.
Base contact layer: Newly developed “D-REN EX” high-fidelity spacers.

The D-REN EX spacers, designed specifically for the TMB-500EX, enhance structural strength and improve upon the standard DREN Pro model. The internal magnesium foil has been upgraded to the new “pure magnesium foil” for refined audio performance and purity of sound.
“Phantom Earth Duct” – An Innovative Design
Furthermore, we have introduced the “Phantom Earth Duct,” cleverly placed at all four outer edges. This system releases internal pressure, effectively reducing pressure within the sound image, minimizing compression, and enhancing spatial expansion.
