我哋Youtube頻道上一集瑞士GOTHAM AUDIO 之旅, 我哋帶咗來自瑞士的手信——由當年奧地利廠房生產的”絕版” GOTHAM DGS-2 訊號線送俾我哋頭十位睇呢條片的觀眾, 由於反應非常熱烈, 我哋條片出街一日內已經迅速送曬. 及後, 仍然收到好多師兄pm我哋希望能否購買到呢條絕版訊號線? 我哋經多次同瑞士廠方聯絡, 最後他們在德國的貨倉內搵到極少量當年存貨, 全部畀我哋一一掃曬返來香港.
原來呢條DGS-2 的來歷是GOTHAM AUDIO 應當時英國著名的插頭生產商DELTRON 的要求而生產, 由於英國DELTRON 方面要求非常嚴格, 最後線材由瑞士設計後, 經奧地利廠房負責生產, 以満足英國方面的要求.
後來我哋都收到幾位師兄的回饋, 呢條線雖然分析力不及現今的市面上的發燒訊號線, 但聽起嚟他的聲音擁有一種好獨特的自然和舒服的感覺, 沒有人工的渲染, 人聲線條感極佳, 音樂生動流暢. 有另一位喜歡飲紅酒的客人更誇張地形容聽緊呢條的線聲音就好似飲緊一瓶1995年出產的Lafite紅酒, 香醇, 不澀之餘更有陣陣的木酒桶清香, 使人一聽難忘.

The Last Call for the Rare “Made in Austria” GOTHAM DGS-2 Interconnect
In our recent YouTube video tour of the GOTHAM AUDIO facility in Switzerland, we had the chance to bring back a rare, “out-of-production” GOTHAM DGS-2 interconnect that was originally manufactured in the Austrian factory years ago. We gave away these precious cables to the first 10 viewers of that video, and the response was overwhelming – the video went viral and the cables were quickly snatched up.
Even after that, we continued to receive many inquiries from viewers who were hoping to purchase this discontinued interconnect. After multiple contacts with the Swiss factory, they were able to locate a small remaining stock stored in their German warehouse, and they sent the entire lot back to Hong Kong for us to offer.
The backstory of the DGS-2 interconnect is that it was originally produced by GOTHAM AUDIO in Austria to the strict specifications of the renowned British plug manufacturer, DELTRON. The cable was designed in Switzerland but manufactured in the Austrian facility to meet DELTRON’s exacting requirements.
In terms of sound quality, while the DGS-2 may not measure up to today’s high-end audiophile cables in terms of analytical prowess, many listeners have praised its uniquely natural and comfortable sonic characteristics. Rather than an artificial, enhanced sound, the DGS-2 is described as having excellent imaging, lively and flowing musicality. One wine enthusiast even likened the experience to sipping a 1995 Lafite Rothschild – rich, smooth, and infused with the subtle, alluring aroma of the oak barrel.
This particular batch of DGS-2 cables has been stored in warehouses for over 25 years, allowing the copper to undergo exceptional natural annealing in the dry, low-humidity European climate. This long-term aging process has helped to relieve internal stresses in the material, lending the sound an even more “analog” and natural character. Unfortunately, the original GOTHAM factory in Austria shuttered over 20 years ago, so the remaining DGS-2 interconnects can only be offered in limited quantities at very affordable prices.
