我哋Youtube頻道上一集瑞士GOTHAM AUDIO 之旅, 我哋帶咗來自瑞士的手信——由當年奧地利廠房生產的”絕版” GOTHAM DGS-2 訊號線送俾我哋頭十位睇呢條片的觀眾, 由於反應非常熱烈, 我哋條片出街一日內已經迅速送曬. 及後, 仍然收到好多師兄pm我哋希望能否購買到呢條絕版訊號線? 我哋經多次同瑞士廠方聯絡, 最後他們在德國的貨倉內搵到極少量當年存貨, 全部畀我哋一一掃曬返來香港.
原來呢條DGS-2 的來歷是GOTHAM AUDIO 應當時英國著名的插頭生產商DELTRON 的要求而生產, 由於英國DELTRON 方面要求非常嚴格, 最後線材由瑞士設計後, 經奧地利廠房負責生產, 以満足英國方面的要求.
後來我哋都收到幾位師兄的回饋, 呢條線雖然分析力不及現今的市面上的發燒訊號線, 但聽起嚟他的聲音擁有一種好獨特的自然和舒服的感覺, 沒有人工的渲染, 人聲線條感極佳, 音樂生動流暢. 有另一位喜歡飲紅酒的客人更誇張地形容聽緊呢條的線聲音就好似飲緊一瓶1995年出產的Lafite紅酒, 香醇, 不澀之餘更有陣陣的木酒桶清香, 使人一聽難忘.

70106 (Reissue DGS-2 Signal Cable)
In our recent YouTube episode featuring a tour of GOTHAM AUDIO in Switzerland, we brought back a souvenir from Switzerland—a “limited edition” GOTHAM DGS-2 signal cable produced by the Austrian factory years ago, which we gave to the first ten viewers of the video. Due to an overwhelming response, all of them were quickly claimed within a day of the video’s release. Afterwards, we received numerous messages from viewers asking if they could purchase this limited edition signal cable. After multiple communications with the Swiss manufacturer, they finally found a small quantity of leftover stock in their German warehouse, which we promptly brought back to Hong Kong.
The Backstory of the DGS-2 Signal Cable:
The DGS-2 was originally produced at the request of the renowned British plug manufacturer DELTRON. Because DELTRON had very strict requirements, the cable was designed in Switzerland and manufactured in Austria to meet British specifications.
Sound Characteristics:
We later received feedback from several viewers. Although this cable’s analytical capability may not match that of today’s high-end signal cables, it offers a unique natural and comfortable sound, free from artificial embellishments. The vocal clarity is excellent, and the music sounds vibrant and fluid. One wine enthusiast even described listening to this cable as akin to savoring a bottle of 1995 Lafite, rich and smooth, with hints of oak barrel fragrance that make it unforgettable.
Long-Term Warehouse Storage, Excellent Natural Annealing:
According to the manufacturer, this batch of DGS-2 cables has been stored in a warehouse for over 25 years. The dry and low-humidity conditions in European warehouses provide an excellent environment for the natural annealing of copper. After more than twenty years of natural annealing, the material’s internal stress is released, improving its stability and giving the sound a more “analog” feel. Unfortunately, the Austrian factory of GOTHAM closed down over twenty years ago, and now only a limited quantity of DGS-2 cables can be made, producing just over a dozen pairs of 2M signal cables available at a very affordable price.
