美國 HARMONIC TECH 全新推出唱臂專用訊號線 ~ LP-10 登場
由唱臂到唱頭放大器的訊號線(PHONO CABLE) 與一般的訊號線其實在導體及結構的設計上均有很大分別，背後亦蘊藏了很大的學問。
唱頭的發聲原理是靠唱針接觸唱片內槽產生震動再透過唱頭內線圈產生的電流, 形成純正的類比音樂信號. 由於信號極度微弱, 一般訊號線較粗的導體難以傳送這種微弱的信號, 有可能造成信號大量流失, 所以唱臂專用訊號的導體都會選用比較幼細AWG24-26 號的導體以減少訊號傳送的流失。
另一個重要因素是導體與導體之間的絕緣體材質所造成的電感值, 一般訊號線的絕緣體會採用PVC, PE 等材料, 這類材料電感值較大, 同樣會影響信號的傳送. 最理想是低電感值的材料首選當然是空氣, 但空氣不能用來做絕緣物料, 故此LP-10 的絕緣物料使用特富龍(TEFLON), 它是空氣以外電感值最低的絕緣物料, 非常適合用在唱臂線上使用。
除了電感效應的因素外, 屏蔽層的設計亦是另一個相當重要的因素, LP-10 採用了黃酮箔加上用高純度無酸銅網作為屏蔽層, 達到99.9% 的遮蔽作用, 大大減少了外界的電磁波對信號傳送的干擾。另外導體的正負導線使用45度角絞合的設計, 令正負磁場不會互相干擾, 有利微弱的信號傳送。

The signal cable (PHONO CABLE) used from the tonearm to the phono preamp is significantly different from standard signal cables in both conductor and structural design, embodying a wealth of knowledge. The sound generation principle of the cartridge relies on the stylus making contact with the grooves of the record, creating vibrations that produce an electrical current through the cartridge’s internal coils, forming a pure analog music signal. Because the signal is extremely weak, standard cables with thicker conductors struggle to transmit such faint signals, which can lead to significant signal loss. Therefore, tonearm-specific signal cables typically use finer conductors, specifically AWG 24-26, to minimize signal transmission loss.
Another important factor is the insulation material between the conductors, which affects the inductance value. Standard signal cables often use PVC or PE as insulating materials, which have higher inductance values and can similarly impact signal transmission. The ideal material for low inductance is air; however, air cannot be used as an insulating material. Therefore, the LP-10 uses Teflon, which has the lowest inductance value after air, making it very suitable for use in tonearm cables.
In addition to the inductance effects, the design of the shielding layer is another critical factor. The LP-10 employs a combination of brass foil and high-purity oxygen-free copper mesh as shielding, achieving 99.9% coverage and significantly reducing external electromagnetic interference during signal transmission. Furthermore, the positive and negative conductors are designed with a 45-degree twisted configuration, preventing interference between the positive and negative magnetic fields, thus aiding in the transmission of weak signals.
In the world of vinyl, different tonearms and cartridges each have their unique tonal characteristics.
