In 2022, TiGLON, a Japanese company, introduced the flagship-level audio rack named the Grand Magnesia (GMR) series, which evolved from the technology foundation of their previous flagship TMR audio rack series. The design of the GMR audio rack aims to reduce resonance between layers by incorporating specially designed alloy spikes under each layer, creating a perfect isolation design.
According to TiGLON’s statistics, the average weight of high-end audio equipment has significantly increased over the past decade. As the equipment becomes heavier, the oscillation amplitude in the middle of the support pillars of the audio rack becomes more pronounced, which greatly affects the musical performance by lacking coherence and imaging. To address this issue, TiGLON developed a technology called D-REN and specially designed a component called the D-REN RING, which tightly fastens at the middle position of the support pillar, significantly reducing the oscillation in the middle of the pillar. The GMR’s support pillars are filled with a specially developed hybrid silicone gel, which improves the absorption of harmonic vibrations by 15% compared to the previous version that used sand filling.
